When it comes to choosing what you want to do for the rest of your life, it can be not only stressful but also confusing. I know that when I was looking into what I wanted to do, I wanted to know what was good about each degree. Once I started to research and find articles online, I soon became aware of the benefits of certain degrees. So as you begin this process of learning what you want to do here are some factors in favor of earning a business degree.
One benefit of earning a business degree would be that it opens up many doors. This is because about sixty percent of employers are looking for the skills that business majors have. Proving that there is plenty of job opportunity in this field. The best thing is that even if you are not sure about what you want to do you have some wiggle room. A business degree offers many versatile skills so when you graduate you can apply for all sorts of jobs, and you are not just limited to what degree is in. Some skills that you will possess is operating Microsoft Excel (and other Microsoft Office software), know budgeting, project management, business administration, sales, customer service, accounting. Showing that all of these skills are important and will help you to find a job before or after you graduate.
On the other hand, once you start in this field and learn that you truly love a particular part that is great too. This is great because in this field there are many opportunities to grow your knowledge on a specific subject. This could be supply chain, accounting, office manager, finance, or even marketing. By gaining these specific skills, you can get a job in what your passion is and have the opportunity to grow the company ladder. Which is the other pro to earning a business degree the opportunity for growth in the company. Often times as jobs become higher up they are looking for experience, and as an employee of the company you knot only have experience but know the company which opens doors for growth in the business.
Now as you prepare to make a fundamentally important decision I hope that these factors help you decide if business is right for you.
